So our first moms group was great! Tammy, Lisa and Eden came. We had a great time talking, singing some fun songs and talking about what we want out of this time.
Tammy is going to lead us in a devotional next week to start us off.
And we have a challenge for all of you: Think about what you want out of our time on Wednesdays. We want this time to be an intentional opportunity to learn from each other and love on our kids!
Can't wait to see you all here next Wednesday!

I am all set to have our group start on Wednesday!

When you arrive, go through the front gate (the security guard will give you a pass) Tell him you are visiting Adrienne Crawford at 1214E. Our tower is the one closest to you when you pull in. The guard will tell you where to park. Give me a call on my home phone 734.929.2321 and I will come down to let you in. Yes, I get to let you in each at a time. :) If you wouldn't mind emailing me or writing in the comments of this post that you're coming that way I will know, that would be great! Also, if you need a ride we can work that out too!!!!
Agenda for this week:
hang out and talk about our hopes for this group. :) I will (hopefully!) have banana muffins and juice.
We will only be meeting at the apartment twice since we move to our house in 2 weeks!!!!

Welcome to our official blog! Mackavemoms.blogspot.com!!! This blog has been created so that I can let you all know what's going on- when we're meeting, field trips, etc... Also, if anyone would like to post on this blog just give me your email info and I will put you on as an "author" and then you can post here too!!!
So to start I will post the mission behind this group!
Mission: To build a Christ centered community for moms during the week.
Goals:
A. To encourage the development of our children through play time, singing songs, arts and crafts, and other age appropriate activities.
B. To spend time talking about parenting and encouraging one another to love on our children. :)
C. To share resources- parenting books, upcoming local events, movies, etc…
Schedule:
· I will make my home available on Wednesdays from 10AM – 12PM. Moms are encouraged to come hang out for as little or as long as they want.
· In addition, monthly activities will be listed so that moms and children can join when they like. For example, trips to the zoo, walks in the park, museum adventures, etc… These events will be at random and I will look for ways to make these excursions cost effective for all.
A once monthly (or maybe every other month) opportunity for moms to get out together and leave the kiddos at home!
Note: This club is not exclusive… anyone may hang out… whether you have children or not! I would like to keep it to women only though.
